20 Years of September Pink Covers!

The colorful masterpieces featured on Pink's cover each month are one of the signature features of our magazine. Created by artists from down the street to across the world, the chosen artwork is carefully procured to set the tone for the monthly theme and bring the issue alive.

In celebration of our 20 year anniversary, we'll be bringing you 20 covers each month to enjoy and reminisce!

Fun Facts About Our September Covers:
• Sheila Hamilton painted our beautiful September 2009 cover. After her passing in 2014, her beloved husband asked us to feature another of her paintings on our May 2015 cover as a memorial to her.

• Our September 2023 cover by local artist Candace Whittemore Lovely is titled, “Beach Music on Skull Creek” It depicts well-known local Mary Briggs reading Pat Conroy’s iconic book Beach Music as she overlooks Skull Creek. As a nod to Conroy, Candace incorporated the Intracoastal Waterway in the painting, a place where he descriptively wrote about traveling its waters up and down. This incredible piece of art now hangs in The Pat Conroy Literary Center in Beaufort, SC.
