About the Artist - Jill Badonsky, M.Ed

Artist1217

In tune with the simple and sublime patterns of everyday life, such as birds, the female species, shapes and forms in nature, small and large-scale flowers, tall pointy houses and whimsical landscapes, our January cover artist is Jill Badonsky, M.Ed. Jill is one transcendent modern day “Wonder Woman”. Like the iconic comic and big screen character, Jill has the ability and wisdom to help others in finding their internal compass of truth in a variety of ways.
“’Poinsettia Dream Woman,’ the watercolor and ink medium artwork for Pink’s January cover, represents how the holidays can take us beyond the mundane and into the fabulousness available in
our imaginations.”

Jill is the author of three books, including The Nine Modern Day Muses (and a Bodyguard) — 10 Guides to Creative Inspiration for Artists, Poets, Lovers and other Mortals Wanting to Live a Dazzling Existence; The Awe-manac —A Daily Dose of Wonder; and The Muse is In: An Owner’s Manual to Your Creativity. An inspiring keynote speaker, dazzling humorist and performance poet, comedienne, yoga instructor and retreat leader, Jill is also a long-time creative coach trainer, who publishes a monthly dose of wonderment in her newsletter: The MUSE is IN.

As a humorist, Jill has recently created a crusty, crayon-smoking character named “Blanche Broker, Muse Broker,” whom she can call up to perform on the fly most anytime of the day, except at cocktail hour, of course. Blanche will dispatch whatever Muse you need to stay inspired to be passionate about your creativity. Jill is an introvert, Blanche loves to talk.

Jill’s inquisitive mind and background in expressive therapies, with a master’s degree in education, keeps her life very full. Often booked as a popular workshop leader, her energy is always contagious. She likes to dare others to be present in mind and thought, to utilize small sparks of creative genius in their everyday lives. Jill also conducts video-conferencing calls to inspire and clear all blocks to your creativity. Check out her classes at kaizenmuse.com to start your year out with creative joy, even if you don’t think you’re creative.

Other Jill art mediums, featured left and right, represent her talents in doodling, art journaling, collage, watercolors and free-style art. At one of Jill’s creative retreats in Taos, New Mexico, at the Mabel Dodge Luhan House, with mindful encouragement, many of us discovered we too, could draw, becoming fanciful bird artists as our winged creatures magically appeared on paper. Camp Creative Thunder, now in its seventh year, remains one of Jill’s five-star masterpieces of creative inspiration.
